Abstract

Asam lemak omega-3, khususnya asam eikosapentaenoat (EPA) dan asam dokosaheksaenoat (DHA), telah dipelajari secara ekstensif untuk potensi manfaatnya bagi kesehatan kardiovaskular dan pemulihan pascaprosedur kardiovaskular. Tinjauan pustaka ini mengeksplorasi efek asam lemak omega-3 pada berbagai aspek pemulihan, termasuk pengurangan peradangan, manajemen nyeri, penyembuhan luka, pencegahan aritmia, pengaturan tekanan darah, dan perbaikan profil lemak. Asam lemak ini juga menunjukkan potensi dalam manajemen nyeri, terutama pada kasus nyeri neuropatik dan kondisi inflamasi. Dalam hal manfaat kardiovaskular, asam lemak omega-3 telah menunjukkan potensi untuk pencegahan aritmia, pengaturan tekanan darah, dan perbaikan profil lemak
, terutama dalam menurunkan kadar trigliserida. Terlepas dari temuan yang menjanjikan ini, dosis, formulasi, dan efek jangka panjang yang optimal terhadap mortalitas dan kejadian jantung pascaprosedur masih memerlukan penelitian lebih lanjut. Tinjauan ini juga mengusulkan desain studi potensial untuk mengatasi kesenjangan penelitian ini, termasuk uji coba terkontrol acak, studi kohort, studi crossover, dan studi mekanistik. Kesimpulannya, sementara asam lemak omega-3 menunjukkan potensi signifikan dalam berbagai aspek kesehatan dan pemulihan kardiovaskular, penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk sepenuhnya memahami penggunaan optimalnya dalam praktik klinis dan menyempurnakan strategi pengobatan untuk meningkatkan hasil pasien.
