Terlepas dari temuan yang menjanjikan ini, dosis, formulasi, dan efek jangka panjang yang optimal terhadap mortalitas dan kejadian jantung pascaprosedur masih memerlukan penelitian lebih lanjut. Tinjauan ini juga mengusulkan desain studi potensial untuk mengatasi kesenjangan penelitian ini, termasuk uji coba terkontrol acak, studi kohort, studi crossover, dan studi mekanistik. Kesimpulannya, sementara asam lemak omega-3 menunjukkan potensi signifikan dalam berbagai aspek kesehatan dan pemulihan kardiovaskular, penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk sepenuhnya memahami penggunaan optimalnya dalam praktik klinis dan menyempurnakan strategi pengobatan untuk meningkatkan hasil pasien.
