Narrative Review : Efikasi Dan Keamanan Mempengaruhi Tren Penggunaan Febuxostat

Febuxostat merupakan inhibitor xantin oksidase untuk menurunkan kadar asam urat yang alternatif lebih baru di Indonesia. Tinjauan literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tren perbandingan efikasi dan keamanan penggunaan febuxostat terhadap allopurinol pada pasien gout. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode tinjauan naratif terhadap artikel yang diperoleh dari basis data PubMed dan GoogleScholar tahun 2015-2025. Penentuan efikasi obat dapat dilihat dengan memantau perubahan kadar asam urat sejak awal penggunaan obat. Febuxostat dan allopurinol memiliki efikasi yang baik dalam menurunkan asam urat tetapi dari segi keamanan di organ ginjal lebih aman, Namun, untuk penelitian kardiovaskular terdapat perbedaan pendapat. Tinjauan ini mencakup berbagai penelitian mengenai efikasi, keamanan dan tren penggunaan febuxostat. Potensi febuxostat yang mungkin di masa depan akan lebih banyak digunakan. Febuxostat dapat menjadi alternatif terapi yang sangat efektif dan hemat biaya dalam jangka panjang, khususnya bagi pasien yang tidak toleran terhadap allopurinol atau memiliki komorbiditas ginjal. Namun, pengawasan jangka panjang tetap diperlukan.
