Abstract

Inflamasi merupakan tanda kerusakan jaringan yang dapat disebabkan oleh patogen ataupun trauma. Metabolit sekunder Albertisi papuana terbukti memiliki aktivitas antibakteri, antifungi dan antiplasmodial. Daun ini juga diduga memiliki antioksidan yang mampu berperan sebagai antiinflamasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas antiinflamsi ekstrak etanol A. papuana. Tikus wistar dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu kelompok N, C, C+SDc, APE125 dan APE500. Telapak kaki kiri tikus diinduksi karagenan 1% sebagi agen induksi inflamasi. Volume udem awal (V0) dan pemberian ekstrak dilakukan 1 jam sebelum induksi karagenan. Perubahan volume udem diukur setiap 1 jam selama 6 jam. Setelah itu hewan didislokasi, kaki dipotong dan ditimbang beratnya. Hasil pengujian ANOVA menunjukkan peningkatan berat kaki pada kelompok kontrol (P<0.018). Persentase inhibisi inflamasi kelompok kontrol C+SDc 46.43%, kelompok APE125 39.33% dan kelompok APE500 20.44%. Senyawa flavonoid dan fenolik diduga berperan dalam penurunan volume udem dan peningkatan persentase inhibisi inflamasi pada hewan uji.
