Pengaruh Minyak Biji Jinten Hitam (Nigella sativa L) terhadap Kadar Interleukin-4

Abstract

Jintan hitam memiliki berbagai zat berkhasiat, salah satunya adalah thymoquinon sebagai immunodulator, peran-nya terhadap Interleukin-4 dengan subjek uji klinis fase 2 sebagai sitokin anti-inflamasi yaitu dengan menghambat prostaglandin tipe E2 dari asam arakidonat melalui hambatan induksi terhadap cyclooxigenase-2. Bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh dari Minyak Biji Jinten Hitam dalam meningkatkan kadar Interleukin-4. Merupakan penelitian Randomized Clinical Trial sebanyak 39 partisipan sehat perokok aktif dengan usia >18 tahun. Dibagi 4 kelompok, yaitu Kelompok 1 diberikan plasebo 3×1 kapsul/hari, kelompok 2, 3, dan 4 diberikan Minyak Biji Jinten Hitam 3×1, 3×2, dan 3×3 kapsul/hari yang diberikan selama 30 hari. Persentase IL-4 menggunakan metode ELISA. Hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode One Way Annova, dengan nilai–p secara berurutan (0,281 dan 0,860) >0,05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang tidak bermakna antar tiap kelompok perlakuan. Berdasarkan nilai rata-rata persentase Interleukin-4, terjadi peningkatan pada kelompok perlakuan MBJH 3×1 kapsul/hari sebesar 16,566% dibandingkan kelompok plasebo 3×1 kapsul/hari sebesar 13,995%.
