Abstract

Hipertensi urgensi pada pasien geriatri memerlukan terapi kompleks yang berpotensi meningkatkan kejadian Potentially Inappropriate Medication (PIM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kejadian Potentially Inappropriate Medication (PIM) pada pasien geriatri hipertensi urgensi menggunakan metode Beers Criteria di rawat inap RSUD Daha Husada. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional non-eksperimental dengan pendekatan deskriptif retrospektif. Data diperoleh dari rekam medis pasien geriatri dengan diagnosis hipertensi urgensi selama periode penelitian bulan Maret 2026. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 103 pasien yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Evaluasi PIM dilakukan menggunakan Beers Criteria berdasarkan jenis obat, jumlah obat, polypharmacy, dan potensi interaksi obat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas pasien berjenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 64 pasien (62,1%) dengan kelompok usia terbanyak 60–69 tahun sebanyak 41 pasien (39,8%). Penyakit penyerta terbanyak adalah diabetes melitus sebanyak 32 pasien (31,1%). Sebagian besar pasien menggunakan 5–8 obat sebanyak 53 pasien (51,5%) dan mengalami polypharmacy. Kejadian PIM ditemukan pada 67 pasien (65%). Jenis obat yang paling banyak termasuk kategori PIM adalah NSAID sebanyak 19 kasus (28,4%), diikuti benzodiazepin sebanyak 14 kasus (20,9%). Interaksi obat kategori moderate merupakan interaksi terbanyak sebanyak 39 pasien (37,9%). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa polypharmacy memiliki hubungan dengan meningkatnya kejadian PIM pada pasien geriatri hipertensi urgensi.
